Lecturer, Strategic Communication Writing
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at The University of Iowa invites applicants for a half-time (50%) lecturer position in the area of strategic communication writing beginning August 14, 2019. This person will teach two courses per semester (2/2), and teach classes in the areas of strategic communication writing, content marketing, and social media marketing, among others. The initial appointment will be for one year, with a possible reappointment of up to two additional years, and the position will be renewable thereafter in three-year increments, pending collegiate approval and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, as is relevant industry experience and a demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level. Graduate degree in a related field is preferred.
