Description

The Content Editor will bring the Future of Sport to life by establishing a distinct voice in the crowded digital fitness landscape, that delivers life-changing results to our users. The CE will drive a 365-editorial vision with equal emphasis on sport performance-based workout programming and magazine-style holistic content. They will deliver high-quality content in both video and written form, on time and within budget. This includes overseeing the planning, coordinating and editing of workout programs and holistic library content, on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and drive strong quarterly editorial content plan that delivers against NTC data and Nike Training editorial strategy
  • Concept and direct culturally-relevant, consumer-centric, fitness content based on latest fitness innovation and consumer needs for NTC target market
  • Guide a team of writers to develop strong holistic content in collaboration with Nike Master Trainers and leaders in the field of sport and wellness.
  • Partner with the NTC Art Director to lead the creative vision for content including overseeing pre, production, and post for motion, still, and written content
  • Partner with Performance Programming Mgr to develop effective training programs and fitness workouts across variety of modalities
  • Partner with Channel Marketing and Digital Brand members to develop effective traffic-driving strategies.
  • Test and validate performance of programming through beta tests
  • Actively Partner with Product Team to develop new features to help enhance content capabilities.
  • Accountable for helping the team win by having a data-centric approach. This includes awareness of App growth in market share, quality, usage, reputation, and financial performance
  • Ensure all work is delivered on time.
  • Ensure on-brand Nike voice across all content


Qualifications

  • B.A. in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or a related field and minimum experience of 5+ years in a related field: editorial, content creation/content marketing, brand marketing or related creative field.
  • Experience leading photoshoots for workout or lifestyle content
  • Experience working across multiple channels and story formats
  • Portfolio that demonstrates exceptional conceptual thinking
  • Experience working on sport, tech, or fashion brands
  • Ability to pair creative writing with data/analytics/best practices and produce results
  • Proven fluency in culture and new platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise a team (motivate, develop, and direct people)
  • Ability to manage time effectively
Qualifications: Preferred
  • Sport Performance and Nutrition certification
  • Passion for fitness, holistic-living
