Role Details:

The Senior Coordinating Producer/Senior Director manages creative and logistical processes of LIVE, in-studio and Control Room productions, and scheduling/managing the in-house production team and productions/podcasts.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Uses exemplary sports knowledge, fantasy and gambling knowledge and judgement to determine the agenda, concepts, and content of assigned shows.
  • Manages the department schedules to ensure that production items and elements are prepared and ready for each assigned show.
  • Directs the research with sports information to obtain materials necessary for the production of the assigned shows.
  • Manages the on-air team to write accurate and informative stories and content.
  • Develops concepts and content for assigned shows to reach viewers in order to increase CBS Sports HQ market penetration, ratings and viewership.
  • Determines the content and focus of each assigned show including the stories comprising the program.
  • Adjusts program content to accommodate breaking news situations, interprets breaking news, and translates it into program content.
  • Produces assigned sports programs independently with occasional guidance from VP Programming/Content.
  • Accountable for the full scope of the assigned digital media productions, which requires independent judgement and leadership.
  • Nurture a motivated and creative environment, maintains a supportive work culture that encourages interactivity and provides continuous feedback and empowerment.
  • Works closely with internal and external peers and managers to ensure collaboration of successful productions.

Key Projects:
  • Focus on fueling exceptional daily video content efforts on CBS Sports HQ.
  • Interacting and connecting teams across programming and production to ensure proficiency in workflow and production timelines that result in successful shows on CBS Sports HQ.
  • Works with management to ensure compliance with rights' structure and provide promotional push for initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
  • At least 10+ years of progressively complex related digital media, live, in-studio or related production experience.
  • Undergraduate college degree in Communications or equivalent.
  • Solid management experience in broadcast production.
  • Has established ability to create compelling sports stories, mastery of the sports production processes and the ability to produce assigned sports segments.
  • Has strong knowledge of real-time sports productions and graphics.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Expert level of sports knowledge, a sports aficionado, including gambling and fantasy spaces.
  • A proven track record of working in LIVE and in-studio control room scenarios.
  • Flexibility and ability to switch gears effortlessly, often times at short notice.
