CBS Sports Digital -- a portfolio of premium digital sports media properties including, 247Sports, MaxPreps and SportsLine -- is consistently ranked a top-three sports property, reaching more than 70M sports fans monthly across desktop, mobile, and connected TV devices. Our team is a diverse and agile group that effectively collaborates with the business to shape our department.

The position will be responsible for assisting with the daily execution and quality of the CBS Sports Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. The person will be collaborating with the social media manager along with editorial, video and graphics team in conceptualizing engaging shareable posts around relevant college and recruiting news to grow our social presence. The position will be responsible for coming up with original and creative social posts that drives engagement and is representative of the CBS Sports brand. The person must be editorially strong and recognize news and events that should be conveyed socially on CBS Sports accounts.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Publish and deliver creative, engaging content for maximum viral reach and fan-comment ability
  • Publish team-specific and national graphics, videos and fan-poll questions to all social channels
  • Stay up to date on news in college football, basketball and recruiting for potential social posts and packages
  • Work with editorial, social and video team to brainstorm and develop frequent daily content across active social channels
  • Communication in a professional social media voice representing our brand at all times

Key Projects:
  • Build graphical and video series on draft picks, both from team and national perspective
  • Create birthday series on NFL legends with interactive polling and comment drive
  • Work with editorial team to provide comprehensive social coverage of key events and breaking news


What you bring to the team:

You have -
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or any other related field
  • Experience with social posting platforms
  • Proficiency using Photoshop and Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of college football, basketball and recruiting
  • Editorially creative with a strong knowledge of CBS Sports brand and voice
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to collaborate well with others in organization
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Must be a self-motivated thought-leader with a can-do attitude who can organize their work, innovate, and problem solve
