Reporting to the Director of Production & Digital the Producer/Editor (P&E) in collaboration with OSUAA staff produces, shoots, and edits video content for the OSUAA, across multiple platforms to drive donor engagement, dollars, retention, and positive alumni behavior. This individual is skilled in all things related to video content production. The position collaborates with the OSUAA to deliver content with which alumni will frequently and passionately engage. Strong story-telling skills through moving images, in a wide range of subjects, will be key to success in this role. A complete understanding of the purpose of this content. The P&E must deliver a wide range of content catering to each alumnus on an individual level. Position Responsibilities Creating video content in collaboration with OSUAA staff designed to increase alumni engagement through digital and social content, with an ultimate goal of increasing donor spend, frequency, and retention Managing, in collaboration with OSUAA staff, all aspects of video content development, pre-production, production and post, including writing, shooting, editing, motion graphics, selection of music, and editorial in collaboration with OSUAA staff Seamlessly blend content with graphic and motion graphic designers to maintain desired look and feel Ensuring all video content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, video, and print Producing content on a 1-to-1 level, each alumnus should feel as if content was specifically produced for them Connecting the dots with video content around a planned or unplanned event into a campaign using a series of pieces as the driver Creating, developing and producing innovative video programming across social and digital channels in collaboration with OSUAA staff Creating sizzle reels and videos for marketing and internal purposes Shooting and editing in a variety of styles Managing and executing video shoots in collaboration with OSUAA staff Visualizing and planning in order to create series of content, linked together seemingly separate subjects, covering the same themes Ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget Gathering data and using analytics to make changes to content topics and style based on those results Creating social content in collaboration with OSUAA staff and driving success of social content Success Criteria The P&E is measured on the engagement scores of alumni. Continual improvement of donor nurturing and retention through video storytelling, as well as the increase in new donors through the deployment of content. Increase alumni engagement scores on all social and digital channels Increase in the number of new donors, the frequency of donations, and the dollar-per donation rate, and the retention of donors Increase in defined alumni engagement metrics measured by users taking the desired action?i.e. likes, follows, conversions, subscription, purchase, etc. Website and social media traffic growth Conversion metrics definition and growth Social media positive sentiment metrics Alumni feedback and survey data Clearly defining content distribution during particular stages of the buying cycle Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through content analysis, and deploying content assets for higher conversion rates Success is measured around lifetime donor value and donor satisfaction Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Production, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field MBA in marketing a plus Three years of experience as a respected leader in video production Experience with creating compelling video content for different target demographics Expertise in how to tell a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience Have experience writing video treatments, outlines, and scripts Proficient in editing applications; Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and Avid Know of the latest trends in mobile and digital video Are a social media and culture fanatic who keeps up with the newest and most innovative content and trends Self-motivated, resourceful and detail-oriented Creatively ambitious and experimental Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication skills Ability to produce high-quality content quickly, to capitalize on the emption of timely events as they arise
