Our Headquarters in Oak Park, MI has been recently renovated and expanded opening up more office and warehouse space to accommodate our growth.

As the Photo Editor for Ooze Wholesale your key duties will include processing RAW images, background removal, image masking, shadow creation, retouching images for eCommerce and print packaging, color correction and matching to approved samples, re-coloring components and producing composites from multiple product images. Our ideal Photo Editor is self-motivated, collaborative and resourceful with the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, troubleshoot and problem solve issues as they arise.

**This position is in-office. Remote work not available**

What you will accomplish:

  • Provide expert retouching services for a variety of projects as needed across departments.
  • Juggle multiple overlapping jobs while maintaining uniform quality and meeting delivery schedules.
  • Use Adobe Photoshop to manage, adjust and process internal photo shoots from raw files to final product.
  • Organize and maintain a library of sample images which can be used for color reference from project to project.
  • Keep work files organized and systematically structured and labeled for future re-purposing.
  • Upload final images into our system and tagging appropriate Metadata to make images available and easily searchable across the company.


  • 2-5 years' experience/educational training in product retouching with emphasis on web imagery and eCommerce.
  • Bachelor's degree (or pursuing) in Photography, Media with 2+ years of experience in studio photography or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Knowledge of photography and studio tools to coordinate with photographers.
  • Strong retouching, color correcting skills with keen eye for detail, quality, color and consistency.
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge. (working knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign is a plus)
  • Ability to use Camera RAW to process RAW files.
  • Basic knowledge of RGB, CMYK, pantone matching systems, studio color management, color profiling, proofing.
  • Digital tech experience (camera knowledge, lighting strobes, lighting interiors, etc.)
  • Ability to work with graphic designers and creatives to understand expectations as well as communicate retouching needs, scheduling and any issues that arise.
  • Ability to handle concurrent deadlines and numerous projects simultaneously.
