Our copywriters enjoy working in a fast paced environment and loves the challenge of discovering what drives and moves consumers. Our internal digital publishing team is searching for a passionate and driven Creator that will collaborate with our internal creative team.

You are a creative writer who can articulate their ideas in a variety of digital mediums. You are a social media expert and have a passion for marketing. You enjoy keeping up with and consuming industry news and platform trends. Most importantly, you are able to give and receive constructive feedback and keep positivity at all times. You are excited about bringing ideas to life.

Essential Functions

  • The Manager, Editorial Voice will play a vital role in bringing social creative to life and will work closely with creative partners across the company as well as the publishing teams Creative Director & Art Directors

  • The primary role of this Manager, Editorial Voice will be to concept, and ultimately execute creative writing that helps break-through in-feed and across platforms

  • This role requires someone who is passionate about creating and defines what a "maker" truly is

  • You will be responsible for creating and concepting engaging social media copy and ideas for the Macy's brand

  • You are a skillful writer as well a seasoned ideator

  • You create engaging creative content on a variety of digital media platforms independently


  • Proven experience crafting and implementing engaging creative concepts across major social media platforms. (FB, IG, TW, Pinterest, etc.)
  • You have experience in content creation formats (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite & design templates in Canva or Google docs, sheets, slides, TikTok, IG, FB live, etc.)

  • You lead an appropriate level of craft

  • You have the ability to get a team excited about your ideas

  • Confident providing direction during on-set productions

  • You have the ability to multi-task naturally without compromising quality or craft to effectively meet the demands of multiple productions

  • You understand the difference between a creative idea and tactical execution. You are an expert at producing both

  • Consistently up to date with trends & culture while growing personal copy skills/craft

  • You have a passion for marketing and are eager to make content that creates engagement

  • You have a positive personality that will bring an added level of excitement to your creative ideas and the overall team

  • You are able to give valuable and actionable feedback and mentor junior writers

  • You are an expert of industry best practices on all digital platforms


  • Previous experience in an agency or fashion brand preferred

  • Experience in Social Media required

  • Have a portfolio with detailed descriptions of what your specific role was

  • Years of Experience: 4+ years

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
