The Communications Team supports all of marketing initiatives; maintaining and updating brand presentations and style guide, developing conceptual options (visual and copy) for projects and execution of emails, web assets, and social media assets ensuring at the voice and the brand experience is consistent in every communication.

Reporting to the Director, Brand Experience, the Copywriter/Proofreader will be responsible for writing and/or reviewing all written communications internal and external to make sure the proper voice is used, ensuring everything is spelled correctly and is grammatically correct. As need be, proof all internal and external applications, desktop and mobile.

As Copywriter/Proofreader, your responsibilities would include:

  • Write and edit copy that effectively engages the target audience and conveys the brand
  • Proofread, review, and edit materials for accurate use of grammar and brand voice
  • Make corrections and edit to copy (grammatical, typographical, or compositional)
  • Ensure all changes provided by stakeholders have been implemented and work with partners to obtain any outstanding product information
  • Organize all communication with regard to project objectives and elements
  • Assist in creating style guides and rules that can be applied to multiple formats across marketing channels
  • Handle multiple projects at the same time, as needed

The ideal candidate would also meet the following requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Excellent grasp of English grammar, syntax, and punctuation
  • Sharp editing skills and fluency in proofreading markup language and procedures
  • Familiarity with various project types, print, digital, social, editorial, applications
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
