Our intern positions are integral at the company, from learning how to writing editorials / articles / interviews, manage and maintain social media platforms, strategize, learn back end, run growth analysis and create monthly reports- but most of all, hard work and dedication.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Work with a dedicated team of editors
  • Write Features, Articles, and Interviews
  • Create press pitches, research projects
  • Strategy, planning and execution of media tactics supporting the company objectives to maximize earned media coverage across all national, regional and social channels
  • Service clients with digital breaks
  • Maintain digital press kits; maintain hard press kit files when appropriate
  • Process client requests in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain close and communicative relationships with assigned press, executives, talent and reps.
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings.
  • Be able to identify and develop publicity opportunities.
  • Create and maintain various schedules, calendars and reports in support of Account Executives and teams
  • Attend events, junket, shoots + travel, in support of client for experience and training - when approved
  • Maintain client assets and in-office samples
  • Create social content for Jetsett
  • Answer phones promptly and professionally
  • Develop and maintain close and communicative relationships with assigned press, executives, talent and reps.
  • Strategize growth plan for ad clients with execution
  • Create and maintain various schedules, calendars and reports in support of Account Executives and teams and social schedules of clients and the firms.


Requirements:

  • Studying or a BA in Mass Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • Great, Friendly Attitude!
  • Must have strong writing skills
  • Must have senior social skills
  • Must have strong writing, research and organizational skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems and be resourceful
  • Able to handle fast-paced PR environment
  • Able to work well under pressure and take direction well
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to handle any/all confidential information, issues and matters in a sensitive manner
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive attitude is a must
  • Photoshop + Editing a plus
  • Mac Laptop Computer
  • Means of transportation


Job Type: Full-time (40 Hours) - IN OFFICE IN LOS ANGELES


Experience:

  • Creative writing: 1 year (Preferred)


Unpaid Internship for School Credit


This internship is an unpaid 13 week program for school credit. After the internship Plastic has the ability to hire, but not guaranteed.
