WPEC -TV in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida has an immediate opening for a full-time Digital and Social Content Center Producer/Editor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing content for our digital products/platforms and working closely with the station personnel to create original content for all platforms. In this position you will work on the content center and help determine, generate and write stories for those platforms. You should also be proficient with content management systems, social media platforms, and newsroom systems such as iNews. Successful candidates must have strong writing skills and be able to produce newsworthy content with creative headlines and compelling visuals. Candidates must also have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with concurrent demands.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Gathering and preparing story items for presentation on all of our digital platforms
  • Editing video, graphics or images for social media and website
  • Assist in daily news gathering efforts
  • Others as may be assigned


Required skills and qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of digital writing experience
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in journalism preferred
  • Commitment to journalistic standards of ethics and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Basic computer knowledge/word processing skills
  • General knowledge and interest in local, national and world news
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and emerging social media
  • Basic non-linear editing skills preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
