Job Description

The Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation located in Colorado Springs, Colorado is hiring a Producer/Editor - Creative Video. This position will be a part of the marketing department and will produce creative video content that portrays Air Force Athletics' story across multiple mediums. In addition, this position will assist with live in-venue production, specifically content creation and gameday crew oversight.
  • Produce compelling content for digital and social outlets from ideation to finished product including: scripting, shooting, editing and graphic design
  • Shoot footage of home games, practice sessions, locker room interviews, player and community outreach features, and other projects as needed
  • Strong understanding of trends in the industry and proven storytelling ability using video & audio
  • Constantly generate creative ideas for all platforms that have potential to be monetized
  • Work with Air Force Sports Properties to ensure sponsorship integration into video content
  • Ability to work in a deadline focused environment
  • Work cooperatively with team members across departments within Air Force Athletics
  • Encode the export video in multiple formats for delivery on multiple formats for delivery on multiple platforms including sharing with local media partners
  • Help with daily social media content production, including brainstorming ideas and content capture
  • Track best practices among other professional sports teams/leagues, content creators and influencers
  • Assist the marketing and corporate sponsorship teams execute revenue-generating opportunities as they relate to video
  • Ensure consistency in brand guidelines and messaging related to content and posting
  • Understand and adhere to a variety of department and Academy brand standards, as well as NCAA and MWC compliance policies
  • Reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Experience
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience
  • Specialized skills in non-linear computer video editing, video lighting and composition, camera operation, graphics design, audio recording, and video production
  • Proficiency in Windows systems and Adobe Creative Suite along with the ability to produce and create exciting audio-visual content are required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends
  • Experience with ENG style and DSLR filming and editing required
  • Knowledge of live production equipment including NewTek and Ross, and Daktronics production software strongly preferred
  • Experience producing high-quality video content for various outlets
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Strong time management skills, as well as understanding of video & creative project workflow
  • Experience in the sports industry preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a background check.
  • Random drug testing is required.
