The Newsette has changed a lot since our very first newsletter went out over four years ago, sent from our Founder's bed (aka the first Newsette HQ). While we have a bigger team and an upgraded HQ (no beds here!), our mission to empower women through incredible content and connections has not changed and continues to guide our decisions as we build out our scrappy team. This mission has allowed us to work with some of the coolest, like-minded brands in the world (Bumble, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Ulta Beauty, to name a few).
We send out inspiring content daily to hundreds of thousands of readers. We've been recognized as a leading voice in the newsletter and women-empowerment space and we're working on some first-of-their-kind projects that are going to surprise and delight a bunch of people. And that's where you come in.
About this job:
You will work closely with our team to plan editorial strategy and create amazing content. You will become a Newsette expert and fine-tune our editorial products to engage, grow, and inspire our readership. This means continually keeping your finger on the pulse of our community. You'll need to foster an acute understanding of what our on-the-go, ambitious reader wants and determine the best way to deliver this information. More importantly, you will help ensure our content and experiences remain mission-focused.
We'll have you work closely with our broader team for content ideation and creation, including participating in brainstorm sessions, assisting with RFPs/proactives, and revamping copy for social handles. Other great projects, such as our new publication, The Weekly Wrap with DVF, will require your acute writing and communicating skills, including liasing with our exciting partners.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling, but who also understands how the business of media affects content creation. You should have at least three years of career editorial experience under your belt. Experience with branded content is also a plus. You have a friendly personality and eagerness to join a team of motivated people in a positive work environment.
